Lent Begins with Ash Wednesday

ASH WEDNESDAY WORSHIP

Wednesday, March 5, 2025

7:00 PM in the Sanctuary

Join us as we begin Lent with worship that turns us to God through prayer, singing, Scripture, and Imposition of Ashes.

Watch for new Spiritual Practice, Bible Study, and other Small Groups scheduled during the season of Lent.

Lent is a time of repentance, self-examination, and focusing on one's relationship with God. As we remember the 40 days Jesus spent in the wilderness fasting and praying, we might also fast from the things that are also holding us back in our relationship with God and with each other. As we move through Lent together, your gifts to Broadway's general budget will provide groups and ministries that can help us grow deeper and closer to Christ as we prepare for Easter.

Event: Broadway at Lancers Hockey

Join us as we root for the Omaha Lancers, I mean the Des Moines Bucaneers on Friday March 21st. The puck drops at 7:05 PM at the Liberty First Credit Union Arena in Ralston.

Reserve your tickets by Friday, March 14th. We will try to have tickets available for you to pick up the week of March 16th.

Tower Restoration Fund

If you would like to leave a gift specifically for the clock tower restoration you may make a donation in the Sunday offering (please designate check or envelope for "Restoration Fund"). Or visit here to give online.

Watch for future fund raisers as we continue to get the clock working by our big celebration later this fall.

Philip's Cupboard March Request

This first quarter of 2025 we have been supporting the good work done by Philip's Cupboard. We are so grateful for the ways you have stepped up to provide their requested items or given financial help the last couple of months.

Their March Requests:

Baby wipes
Small bottles of Dawn dishsoap

Your gifts may be left in the shopping cart outside the office. Monetary gifts are also helpful. Cash or checks can be left in the offering or brought to the church office. Be sure to designate your check or envelope for Philip's Cupboard. Envelopes can be found at the Opportunities Desk in the Welcome Center.
