Everything Is Holy Now!

But First...

Tonight at 6:30 PM, we will engage in the ancient tradition of breaking bread together in a unique way: we will be making it together! Pastor Brian will be leading us in worship and sharing his Communion bread recipe. During our Maundy Thursday service, we will participate in the simple yet profound act of preparing and baking bread. This hands-on experience will connect us more deeply to the significance of the bread shared by Jesus, symbolizing his body given for us.

Meet us in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30 PM. If you didn't get signed up, that's ok. There is always extra. Just remember to bring a mixing bowl to take your dough home for baking.

Shattering Our Assumptions

We remember The Passion of Christ through readings, song, and the extinguishing of candles.

On Saturday (April 19th) Aliyah will bring a brief reflection and prayer to our online space. We are encouraged to find Silence in Our Brokenness. Find the reflection at

The Sanctuary will be open on Good Friday from 12-6 PM and Holy Saturday from 12-3 PM for personal prayer time and reflections on The Stations of the Cross.

April Trivia Update

We want to provide some clarity for this month's trivia. We understand that there are many stained glass window on the West side or 1st Street side of the church. The windows that are the subject of the question are those framing the stairs just outside the office to the lower level (pictured to the right).

The trivia question is:

Who designed the stained glass in the door frame at the entrance from 1st Street?

Hint: The designer once owned a stained glass gallery in the neighborhood.

If you have placed an answer in the backet and are now having second thoughts, go ahead and place a 2nd answer in.

Student Life Youth Ready to Serve Up Some Yum

Join the youth of Student Life Ministries as they serve pancakes in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, May 4th at 12 PM. Our young people are looking forward to serving you and sharing their stories from Summer Games University.

There will be a free will offering that will be used to insure that our youth can all attend together. And, for those who attended in the past, retelling their experiences reinforces the impact of the camp.

Volunteers Replace Carpet in Lower Level Room

The Carpet in one of our basement classrooms had been damaged by water coming up through the floor. After having stopped the water from entering the classroom, the carpet needed to be replaced.

On Mar 28 and 29, a small crew tore out the old damaged carpet and replaced it with carpet squares. We wish to thank Mike Clausen, Malachi Koonz, Troy Mahood, Garry Milbourn, and Ray Davis for their hard work.

April 27 - Confirmation Sunday

On Sunday April 27 we will be welcoming youth from the Confirmation Class into membership with Broadway UMC. Eleven youth are currently meeting weekly with Pastor Brian to learn more about Broadway and The United Methodist Church. Confirmation classes allow students to discern the next step in their faith journey. Our new members will be introduced at the end of 8:30 worship and confirmed during 10:30 service. You will also have the opportunity to meet and welcome them at 9:30 coffee hour.

Outreach Through Celebrate CB

Parade and Bayliss Park Activities - May 10th

Watch for ways you can be with us at Celebrate CB on May 10th. We will carry a banner and pass out candy on the parade route. Then, we will set up a table with Broadway merch at Bayliss Park. Steve will be holding drawing for bicycles in the park and we will be there to meet and talk with our neighbors.

What a great opportunity to get out of the building and show our community who we are!

We are still looking for a gift of a 6' foldable lightweight table for Outreach. If you have one you are looking to rehome please let us know.

Candy donations for the parade and the outreach table will be appreciated.
